The “Research on Cloud Networking in Brazil and Europe: the NECOS and ATMOSPHERE projects” workshop, organized by ATMOSPHERE and NECOS projects, is taking place during the IEEE International Conference on Cloud Networking (IEEE CloudNet 2019), held in Coimbra (Portugal), from the 4th and 6th November 2019.
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the "9th Latin-American Symposium on Dependable Computing" (LADC 2019), from 5th to 7th November, in Natal (Brazil).
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the "European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics" (Eusomii), from 18th till 19th October 2019, in Valencia (Spain). Eusomii is a professional healthcare organization that provides its members and the radiological community with up-to-date information on the latest innovations and achievements in medical imaging informatics by supporting education, research and events related to the top-tier software in radiology.
ATMOSPHERE is giving a presentation at OpenInfra Days 2019, taking place on 2nd October 2019, in Milan (Italy) about "Optimal Resource Allocation of Cloud-Based Spark Applications"
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the 10th Iberian Grid Conference (IBERGRID 2019) on the week of September 23rd 2019, in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Organised by the Spanish and Portuguese national e-infrastructures, had as main topics "Delivering Innovative Computing and Data services to Researchers" and "Fostering the development, integration and adoption of services for researchers in the framework of the European Open Science Cloud".
ATMOSPHERE contributes actively to the RES (Rede Espanola de Supercomputacion) Users Conference, taking place from 18th to19th September, in Zaragoza (Spain), by doing a presentation about "Performance Prediction of GPU-based Deep Learning Applications".
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the IEEE 12th International Conference on Cloud Computing, from 8th till 13th July, Milan (Italy). The IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD) has been a prime international forum for both researchers and industry practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of cloud computing, identify emerging research topics, and define the future of cloud computing. All topics regarding cloud computing align with the theme of CLOUD.
All eyes on Belém (Brazil), as EU-Brazil cooperation in ICT takes centre stage at Cloudscape Brazil 2019, charting a course for future research and innovation on Cloud Computing and related ICT topics, while demonstrating how Cloud continues to shape the future of technology, along with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing and other key enablers.
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the "TNC19 – Forging Digital Societies", from 16th till 20th June 2019, in Tallinn (Estonia). TNC is the largest and most prestigious European research and education networking conference. This year’s conference theme, Forging Digital Societies, was inspired by two main concepts: the idea that computer networks, by supporting human interactions, help to create and forge digital societies is combined with the innovative model of Estonia’s e-residency programme.
ATMOSPHERE was presented at the PRIMAGE Workshop on Imaging Biobanks, on 25th June, Pisa (Italy). The event gathered together European professionals that work with Imaging Biobanks. The presentation was done by Ignacio Blanquer, from Universitat Politècnica de València and ATMOSPHERE project coordinator.
