ATMOSPHERE was presented at the 9th Iberian Grid Conference (IBERGRID 2018) from 11th to 12th October, in Lisbon (Portugal). Following the spirit of the IBERGRID series of conferences, the 2018 edition is a timely opportunity for networking and fostering cooperative projects at the Iberian level, with a focus on the upcoming European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), namely challenges and opportunities for the Iberian region.

ATMOSPHERE was presented at the "From High Performance Computing to Exascale: the research challenges and new applications", on 11th October 2018, organized by AEIT with the DEIB department of Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy). The event aimed at presenting an overview of the main challenges and current solutions to build the next-generation Exascale computing systems, combining the aspects of scientific research with industrial aspects and illustrating some new applications that will exploit that computing capacity.

ATMOSPHERE was presented at the 30th International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing (SBAC-PAD 2018), from 24th till 27th September, Lyon (France). SBAC-PAD is an international symposium, started in 1987, which has continuously presented an overview of new developments, applications, and trends in parallel and distributed computing technologies. SBAC-PAD is open for faculty members, researchers, specialists and graduate students around the world.

ATMOSPHERE was presented at Forum RNP 2018 - Patrimonio Digital, Dados Abertos e tecnologias de memoria, from 28th till 29th August 2019, Brasilia (Brazil). The event gathers together ICT professionals and also the on the community from RNP institutions. Traditionally, the Forum welcoms IT directors of public administration bodies, Federal Universities and Institutes, as well as researchers and students in the area.

The 37th IEEE International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2018) is a forum for researchers and practitioners interested in distributed systems design, development and evaluation, particularly with emphasis on reliability, availability, safety, security, trust, and real-time.

This year’s Software Quality, Reliability and Security (QRS) Conference takes place from 16th to 20th July in Lisbon (Portugal).

Sponsored by IEEE Reliability Society, the conference provides engineers and scientists from both industry and academia a platform to present their ongoing work, relate their research outcomes and experiences, and discuss the best and most efficient techniques for the development of reliable, secure, and trustworthy systems.

ATMOSPHERE will be leading a session at the upcoming High Performance Computing 2018 Workshop (HPC2018): From Clouds and Big Data to Exascale and Beyond.

ATMOSPHERE was invited to be a speaker at Think Milano event, on 6th June from 14.30 to 17.30, to join a panel discussion called “L’infrastruttura cloud ready protagonista del future” on how cloud infrastructures are important for different market sectors.

Now in its 19th installment, the RNP Workshop (WRNP2018), organised by the Brazilian National Research and Education Network (RNP) will be held in Campos do Jordão, São Paulo in Brazil from 7-8 May 2018 with the participation of ATMOSPHERE project.

Since 1999, the RNP Workshop (WRNP) has been bringing the public closer to the latest technological advancements and key topics of discussion in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) research, inside and outside Brazil.
