Abstract In this poster the motivation is to represent the core functionalities of the intelligent engine called VITAL-OS that enables smart city services. The VITAL-OS acts a an operating system and platform that incorporate open-cloud, (open source and Virtual infrastructures, i.e. OpenIoT an open source European IoT platform), VITAL-OS platform is designed for the secure development of interactive data with web and mobile applications and high-performance data analytics. Relevance for Cloudscape Brazil 2018 * In this poster the motivation is to represent the core of the intelligent engine that enables smart city services. The VITAL-OS operating system and platform incorporate open-cloud, (open source and Virtual infrastructures, i.e. OpenIoT an open source European IoT platform), VITAL-OS platform for the secure development of interactive data with web and mobile applications and high-performance data analytics. The design of standard interfaces with the collected data from city IoT/CPS/SCADA systems is complaint with applications using REST-API, MQTT and CoAP IoT Protocols for effective communication from sensor data t. The poster particularly highlights Cloud and IoT systems interoperability allowing city manager to access the real time data on any connected device in the city. The poster reflects the work in progress for Ireland Connected Region and the technologies and initiatives that make Ireland a reference zone in terms of rapid smart city culture. The four main cities, ie. Dublin, Galway and Cork already committed and preparing the connected region plan. Supported initiative for implementing a roadmap for all smart things and all the signs to make a rapid progress in this area by means of connecting mayor Irish cities to Europe and to the World is OASC Ireland.
